It has been discovered that one of the new trees recently planted on the village green is not the variety of mountain ash which was commissioned. The mountain ash had been grafted onto whitebeam stock, but as can occasionally happen, the whitebeam stock has taken over. The contractor will replace this tree with the one originally requested at the appropriate time for planting trees and the mountain ash/hornbeam will be re-located within the village. This will be at no extra cost to the parish council.
