Subsequent to discussions between the Chairman, Cllr Andy Aylott and Dorset County Council, the following maintenance and repairs have been completed or will be so in the following few months.

Blocked gully at Ash Hill. The gully has now been emptied and jetted. DCC will check again during wet weather to ensure the drainage is working properly.

DCC also intend to schedule jobs for clearing debris/silt build up and jetting the gullies on the A37 under the railway bridge. This will probably need temporary traffic lights whilst the work is carried out.

Damaged kerb at Bull Close – Now completed.

Dorchester Rd carriageway surface condition near The Rise – Job scheduled for patching at this location.

Disability access from Dorchester Road onto the Green – Now completed. The edge of the kerb is now chamfered adjacent to the information board to provide a ramp for mobility scooters etc. to more easily access the village green.

Trees and hedge between The Green & The Rise – This is being passed to Countryside to add to their list, if these are DCC trees and require trimming for buses etc. Some tree cutting on the Stratton Bypass is to be undertaken and it is hoped this work will be done at the same time.  It is not possible to give a date for this at present.
