The Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the parish council along with two members of the A37 Action Group met with officers of Dorset Council Highways Department yesterday, for a discussion and a site visit, in relation to safety concerns on the A37 close to the village turnoff.

Information about improved water drainage under the railway bridge already planned for later in the year was discussed along with ongoing improved maintenance of the area.

Various suggestions were put forward about how the safety of the road nearer the village might be improved and an outcome and any actions as a result of the discussions is now awaited from Highways.
