Work on the village green has commenced this week but it is going to take a little longer to complete than was anticipated or expected. The contractors have had some problems with a piece of equipment that they require to do the work and they also need to take advice from a tree surgeon on the best way to reduce the height of the trees on the highway side of the green. Cllr Andy Aylott is in touch with the contractors and is monitoring progress. Work is expected to resume later this week.
