At the Stratton Parish Council meeting yesterday evening, 20th September, 2016, Councillor Andy Aylott was elected as the Council’s new chairman. Cllr Aylott has considerable experience as a parish councillor and has been both chairman and vice chairman in the past.
On being elected, Cllr Aylott paid tribute to Gill Slade, the previous Stratton Parish Council chairman, who resigned in July this year, thanking her for all her work during her time in office.
At the present time, there are two vacancies for councillors on the parish council and anyone who is interested in joining the council is welcome to contact the parish clerk or any serving councillor for more information.
