Stratton Parish Council now has two vacancies for councillors.
With the resignation of Cllr Pete Jackson, the Parish Council is required to issue a statutory notice, reproduced below, advertising the latest vacancy.

IN OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR
PARISH OF STRATTON
NOTICE IS GIVEN that a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.
If by 2 June 2017 (14 days* after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the Parish, an election will be held to fill the vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
If an election is called, it will take place not later than 7 August 2017.
