Stratton Parish Council has received notice of a temporary speed limit on the A37 while litter picking takes place.  Details below:-

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT, A37 BETWEEN WEIRS ROUNDABOUT AND SOMERSET BOUNDARY

 DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991.

The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

When this Notice comes into effect on 10 March 2021 until 12 March 2021 between 0930 and 1530, a temporary 30mph speed limit will be imposed upon A37 between Weirs roundabout and Somerset boundary, at such times and to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs.

It is anticipated that the speed limit will remain in force for 3 days whilst Dorset Waste Partnership carry out convoy litter picking.
