Our sadness at the death of Queen Elizabeth ll is shared by people across the globe, as we remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by our longest reigning Monarch.
The information the Parish Council has received in relation to marking the passing of the Queen and the proclamation of the new King Charles lll, anticipates that principal authorities will take the lead on arrangements and will involve local (parish and town) councils as appropriate and asks that parish councils follow this guidance when it arrives and do not act unilaterally.
We are awaiting this further information and once a public way of acknowledging the service of the Queen over the past 70 years and the proclamation of the new king is known, then the parish council will publish it as soon as it becomes available.
