Following cooperation between the Parish Council and Stratton Youth Club the two skateboard ramps on the playing field have now been dismantled and removed. The ramps were originally obtained by Stratton Youth Club following a successful grant bid in the late 1990’s. But, with the dramatic changes to the Youth Club service some three years ago when Dorset County Council ceased financial support to most clubs, the current Youth Club did not wish to have the financial responsibility of the ramps, which were starting to show their age and would have soon require maintenance work. Remedial groundwork will be arranged by the Parish Council to tidy up the site. No date has yet been arranged for this.
